5 Key Types of Kawasaki Hydraulic Motors For Your Boats!

 A Kawasaki hydraulic motor is a unit used to transform the energy of a fluid flow into mechanical energy. This energy is needed by machines to propel working components. The executive body is the output shaft, which receives the driving energy. Today there are many types of Kawasaki Sx hydraulic motors available in the market.

Let’s find out what those are!

Different Types of Kawasaki Hydraulic Motor

Axial Piston

The key element of the hydraulic unit is the crank mechanism, in which the cylinders move parallel to each other and the pistons move with them. The design may include an internal reverse mechanism. So the unit is mounted at an angle of no more than 30 degrees.

The advantages of axial piston models are:

  • Pressure - up to 450 bar;
  • Torque up to 650 Nm;
  • Adjustment of the working volume is possible.

Hydraulic motors of this type are in demand in the production of high-precision machine tools, aircraft construction, as well as for the assembly of bulldozers and excavators.

Gear

Gear motors are the cheapest segment. Such a motor is designed for reverse fluid flow. When it arrives, the gears are activated, and torque is generated on the shaft. For long-term operation, the unit must operate at low speeds although some devices are designed for 10 thousand revolutions.

Gear models have low efficiency which in many cases is compensated by the ease of operation, unpretentious maintenance, and the absence of strict requirements for the quality of the working fluid.

These motors are useful where high precision is not required. Most often they are used in the following devices:

  • Machine tools;
  • Drives of attachments for special equipment;
  • Winches;
  • Agricultural machinery engines - dump trucks, loaders, seeders, sprayers, etc.

Gerotor

Gerotor hydraulic motors are an improved type of gear unit with internal gearing. The motor includes a distributor used to supply fluid to the working chambers. The torque, which is formed in the working cavities, drives the rotor into planetary motion. The torque of the Gerotor motor doesn't exceed 2000 N * m. It's commonly used in the following types of machines:

  • Conveyors;
  • Lawnmowers;
  • Municipal equipment;
  • Crushers and other applications where a combination of low speed and stable torque is required.

Lamellar

Plate models are rotary-translational hydraulic units with displacers in the form of flat plates. These models of hydraulic motors and hydraulic pumps are distinguished by their compact size, reliable operation, and low noise. This type of hydraulics is not widely used due to poor maintainability and low efficiency, which is in the range of 60-85%. Plate models are used in machine tool construction.

Radial Piston

Displacement motors are called radial piston motors, in which the cylinder block is installed perpendicular to the executive bodies and forms an angle of 45 degrees with them. Radial piston models are divided into two types:

  • Single Action: During one revolution of the rotor, the pistons perform one reciprocating action.
  • Repeated Action: During one revolution of the shaft, the displacement plunger of each chamber performs several reciprocating movements.

Conclusion!

Among all types of Kawasaki sb hydraulic motor, it's important to choose a unit that is suitable for special equipment in size and performance. For selection or repair of a hydraulic motor, please contact "Kmarine".
